Privacy policy

Version of November 7, 2026. It covers this website, the waitlist and donations. The Agent Serein service itself will have its own agreement when you sign up.

In short

We collect the minimum, only for the stated reason.
Nothing is sold, rented or traded.
No tracking or advertising tools, and no cookie other than the one that makes forms work.
Our servers are in Québec. Only donation payments go through Stripe, outside Québec (see below).

Who is responsible

Agent Serein is a service of Ecojeux, the business legally responsible for your information. For any question or request, write to our person in charge of the protection of personal information: confidentialite@agentserein.ca.

What we collect, and why

When Information Why How long

Waitlist Name, email, first 3 characters of your postal code (FSA), your consent and its date; optional: who it’s for, current tools, modules, timing. The language comes from the page. Write to you when a place opens; plan capacity by region and prepare your migration. Until you unsubscribe, or 24 months without hearing from you.

Donations With us: amount, frequency, date and Stripe identifiers. Never your card number. With Stripe: name, email, card, postal code. Process the payment, show which needs are funded, keep our accounting records. 6 years, the period required for accounting records.

Visiting the site Server technical logs: IP address, page requested, date, browser. Security and keeping the site running. No audience analytics. 30 days.

Email you send us Your address and your message. Reply to you. As long as your request needs, then at most 2 years.

Cookies

A single session cookie, strictly necessary: it protects forms against forged submissions and disappears when you close the browser. No audience measurement, no advertising, nothing loaded from third parties: fonts, images and videos come from our own servers.

Where your information is, and who can see it

The website, the waitlist and the donation records are hosted in Québec. Only the people on our team who need them for the purposes above can access them.

Donations are paid through Stripe, which processes this information in the United States and elsewhere under its own policy. Before offering it, we assessed this transfer: Stripe applies recognized safeguards (encryption, PCI standards) and we send it only what the payment needs. If you prefer to avoid this transfer, write to us for another way to give. Stripe’s policy.

Your rights

At any time you can: see your information, have it corrected or deleted, withdraw your consent, and get a copy in a common format. Write to the address above; we answer within 30 days. Every waitlist email also carries a one-click unsubscribe link.

If our answer doesn’t satisfy you, you can contact Québec’s Commission d’accès à l’information: cai.gouv.qc.ca.

Security and incidents

Encrypted connections, limited access, backups in Québec. If an incident carries a risk of serious harm, we notify the Commission d’accès à l’information and the people concerned promptly, and we keep a register of all incidents.

Children

This site is not aimed at people under 14 and asks them for no information.
